Flowy Dress Download
It’s the end of summer, meaning I’ve exclusively worn flowy dresses for three months straight. Pants? Don’t know them. I want elegance, drape, abundance, and fun, and I don’t want a waistband.
I get asked where my dresses come from, so I wanted to share my favorite sources for flowy dresses. I do want to add, most of my dresses were purchased second hand, or on sale. Hunting them down at lower costs is a big part of the fun.

To me Eileen Fisher is the queen of clothes that remain timeless because of their quality and ease. I worked at Eileen Fisher in my early 20s and still wear the clothes I bought while on the job. Now that I no longer work there, I mostly shop Renew, Eileen Fisher’s official resale shop. They have one in Seattle across the street from the best bakery in the city.
This is H&M’s fancy, understated sister line. It’s a real Scandinavian experience. Lots of bold shapes and unique twists on classics. Arket is similar but not available in the US.
Indian import with beautiful hand printed fabrics and unique cuts. Prices in Rupees so you never really know how much you are spending, which is great.
Also Indian based fabrics, but more colorful and mostly woven. Really unique, special fabrics. Pretty popular brand so you can find dresses second hand pretty often. They also tend to have at least one sample sale in Portland every year.
Melbourne based company turning hand painted art into very fun pop prints. Such unique patterns that make their dresses stand out.
